Ok people, I have decided at post one of my books here on my blog for you all to read. I have it up on one of my pages up top, underneath the picture of the penguins ( ;) hehehe gotta love those awesome penguins ) If you can, please read it and come back here to tell me what you think. I know its a bit short but mostly I ws working on perfectly my "describing" skills. I wanted to become better at telling the setting and describing things in the story.

I have a sequel in the works, hopefully, so be sure to check back in every once in a while!

Happy

Well I am now, as you can see by the title of this post, wet and happy :D We just came back in from swimming in the pool. Such an awesome day out. So pretty and lots of clouds so its not really hot. Normally on Tuesdays we head to the local springs with our homeschool group but we decided to chillax (oh yeah, such an awesome word :P ) and spend a day at home.

Recently I have been listening to a bunch of Britt Nicole music, she is so EPIC hehehehe My fave song of hers right now would have to be Headphones-





"Her mom says she's great, the kids think she's weird" Nope not me! None of the kids think I'm weird.....they know for an absolute fact that I'm weird :> hehehe but y'all know you love me anyways <3

I think I am going to have to do a post on Britt Nicole, I absolutely love her music and this is only one of the many songs I love by her!

Favorite things ever...

Ok for some weird reason I love snowglobes...

One of my favorite things to do during Christmas and sit around and flip our snowglobes over and over and over and just watch the snow swirl around.

We have about 8 snowglobes in our Christmas boxes but I have 3 snowglobes of my own in my room right now. 2 from my bff who I don't think realises how much I adore snowglobes, she got them for me for my birthday this year. And then the other one is a little penguin one which I am completely in love with because if you know me, I absolutely love penguins ♥. I could sit on my bed, flipping him over and over all day and I would never get bored. (Ok maybe not all day...)

I was looking online for an awesome snowglobe and I found this one-

Totally EPIC chubby penguin! Omigosh I would love to have him. I am wondering if eBay has snowglobes on it but I'm not sure because they are glass...

Gnomeo and Juliet

About 2 nights ago my family and I watched Gnomeo and Juliet. I thought it was the cutest and funniest thing ever but I think the only reason I liked it so much was because in my english course online I studied Romeo and Juliet this year so it was funny to see how the producers put it into "gnome" form. I'm not sure if a little kid would've gotten as much enjoyment out of it as I did but I'm sure they would still like it.


Just like in Romeo and Juliet, the two gardens' gnomes did not like the other side's gnomes. I guess it started from the feud between the owners of the gardens. The difference here is instead of Montagues and Capulets, its Blues and Reds but the cool part was the owners last names were Montague and Capulet so the producers brought that in there.

Its one of the most famous love stories so of course they are going to have lovey-dovey talking, googley eyes, and hand holding. It doesn't get anymore than that except at the end where (SPOILER) Gnomeo and Juliet kiss (Told ya it was a spoiler).

My favorite parts of this movie was where they would quote lines from Romeo and Juliet but mess them up a little bit for this movie-

Juliet (up on her pedestal talking to herself)- Oh Gnomeo, oh Gnomeo, are we really doomed to never see each other again? Why must you wear a blue hat? Why can't it be red like my father's? Or green like a leprechaun? Or purple like, um...like, uh...like some weird guy? (My thoughts ran to Justin Bieber here)

I hope I have convinced you to see this movie or at least read Romeo and Juliet for yourselves because it IS and awesome story. Now since I don't want to tell you TOO much about this movie, I will just show some pictures :)

Summer!

Well people it is offically here. SUMMER! Its blazing hot out and all I want to do is hop in the pool or take a trip to our local springs with my friends.

What's new with me you may ask?

First thing's first, America's Got Talent's 6th season just started and I'm so excited! My family and I absolutely love this show so I am totally happy that its on again. Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan are hilarious together ;)

Well, another thing is I have been working recently (Omigosh a real shocker right?) being a nanny for these 3 kids I know. It was a blast because I absolutely love little kids. I took the oldest two horseback riding in the mornings and then walked the youngest around on the horse when I got back.

Yesterday I took them to the springs with three other little girls and their mom. Those little girls wore me out. Every time I would climb up the ladder, they would be right there at the top waiting for me so I could jump off again with them. Don't get me wrong, I was completely flattered and I had the best time with them :)

We played Wii today and honestly? The little kids whooped my sorry behind. Even the simplest game, I lost. The youngest even beat me. So of course when I actually won a game I flipped out and started jumping around the room which was quite a sight. Too bad I didn't get it on film because it would've been hilarious to see. I've never been that talented at video games...

I bought a new bag on Tuesday which is actually coming in handy. I don't get why they call it this but its called a "hobo" bag. Sounds really weird but its the most awesome thing ever and I love it to pieces. I got a good deal on it also from a local consignment shop- $5.50! The ones I have seen in the store that are the size of this one range from 15 dollars to 25 dollars so I was really excited to find one that cheap. I might just have to post pictures of it later so y'all can marvel at its epic-ness ;)

How has your summers been so far? By the way, also tell me how good you are at video games and/or Wii. I am curious to see if I am the only one who completely stinks at them...

"A Little Princess"

Ok I just got done reading one of the best books I have ever read-

A Little Princess. It was written in 1905 by Frances Hodgeson Burnett. I have this fascination about old books, they seem so much better than all the new ones out...

This book is about a little girl from India named Sara Crewe. Her father is very rich and gives her anything she wants pretty much. She is a very clever little girl who does not let it go to her head. Her father sends her to a school so she can get a better education while he goes back to India. Since she is such like a princess, she is lovelying nickname Princess Sara by all the little kids in the school (hence the title of the book) On her 11th birthday when she is supposed to come into her iherritance, she gets word that her father has passed away and his money is gone. Now she is put to work by the headmistress of the house who did not like her anyways.
Sara was always a girl of imagination and "suppose-ing", she liked to suppose and pretend things for both her and the little girls of the school. Now, even though she has nothing and is always being pushed around now, she still makes things all the better for herself and the other little maid of the house, Becky. Through all the torture and heartaches she has to endure, inside she stills imagines she is a princess and still acts like it, not in the snotty kind of way, but it helps her remain calm when people are yelling at her and helps her know that eventually it will be alright.

I don't care if you are a guy or girl, you MUST, no excuse me, NEED to read this book. I know they have many of these books out printed by different companies so its not too hard to find a copy. It doesn't really say anything about God it in but I kind of believe its hinting at it. Throughout the entire book, Sara keeps her cool and knows it will be alright, why can't we be like this? Its truly an eye-opening book.

Also I am always on the hunt for "new" (I would actually rather have the books written years ago than the ones today), exciting books to read , do you guys have any favorites? I have already read Little Women and Little Men which were both fabulous! Anything like those books I love.
