I'm so happy right now! :D Let me tell you why...

For one thing, I just changed the background of my blog and that always makes me feel like I have a fresh new start on here.

The next thing is just recently I finished up my English course online with an A+! :D

Another reason is in my Spanish 2 course online I only have 7 more assignments and then I am done! WHOOP WHOOP! That just leaves me with my Algebra and then the other class I am going to be taking over the summer.

The FINAL reason I am so happy? Its because I have an awesome, rocking out penguin here on this post! Too bad he's not green, it would make him even more awesome...

If you haven't noticed by now, I am obsessed with penguins :P

County Fair!

Last night we went to our local County Fair to hang out with friends, ride the rides, and to see how our paintings and dresses that my sisters and I sewed placed. For the paintings, I placed 3rd (which is not at all bad because that was my first time ever doing a "real" painting) and for my dress that I sewed I placed 1st. I was very proud of myself. My sisters did very well also so it was a great fair for us.

Also the rides were pretty fun. The only thing I do not like about fairs is most of the rides at them are the kind that just spin. After a while, you get sick. I have never thrown up on a ride (and I never will if I can help it!) but I did get really queasy a couple of times. I think the favorite ride of everyone in our group who went was the Typhoon.

Da zoo!

Sorry but I have been so busy lately that I haven't been able to post this up until now... On Tuesday our homeschool group took a field trip to a teaching zoo and a planetarium owned by a nearby college. I don't have any pics from the planetarium but I do have a bunch from the zoo part of the trip :D

Emus are the second largest bird on earth. It lives in Australia. Just like its relative the ostrich, it is a flightless bird.

Alpaca-Alpaca's have 3 different types of spit. First one is a mist which is a warning. Second is a little bit worse and means I am getting aggravated with you, please go. Third is very mucus-y, very nasty and pretty much means, I don't like you, GO AWAY! hehehehe :)

This is a Rec Ruffed Lemur. This thing looks adorable but while we were watching it, one of them starts screaming its head off. Oh my goodness, it was hilarious! They are very loud, I don't even know how to describe it! You can watch and listen to them on youtube if you follow this link-

And of course you have to have gators in a zoo! I can't remember which gator this one was, there was two in the exhibit.

Bald eagles! These two are injured so they cannot be returned to the wild.

Isn't this little guy adorable???? He is a caracal. This isn't my picture because the one that we saw just slept in the corner, ignoring us. He lives in Africa and the Middle East.

I hope I haven't bored you will all my animal facts but I do adore animals so sometimes I just blab on forever on what I know about them.... :) I do hope you liked the video of the Red Ruffed lemurs ;)

OH YEAH!

Prom last night was amazing! I had a blast with the 3 girls I went with. We danced like crazy for almost the entire time which was 4 hours. I didn't get home until 12:30am.
And then we had a double header (two games) for softball today. We won the first game 13 to 1 (I know, yikes) and then we lost the second game 5 to 3. Not bad for us because we have never played with each other before. It was our first games and then the other girls are on the middle school team so they don't come to our practices. Oh well, we will get them next time ;)
I will see if I can post a pic of my dress on here but I am not sure how it will work out.

Horseback riding was awesome today! I really enjoyed it even though now my behind is extremely sore....

I am having some relatives over tonight for a small birthday party with burgers, fries, and cookie n' ice cream sandwiches WHOO! They are delicious and totally irresistible! Oooooohhhhhh, just look at it.....my mouth is watering.......must......stop......looking......AHHH! I can't! They are so good! I can't wait to have some!

Horseback riding :)

My neighbor is completely awesome, just to let you know. For my birthday, she is going to take my sister and I horseback riding for 2 hours out on some trails in the woods behind us! I am so excited and just can't wait! I am going to have to try my best to take some pictures for you guys!

And I'm sorry but I just had to add these gorgeous appys on my post, they're so adorable! My horse in real life is an appy so I am pretty much in love with them ;) ♥♥♥

Cow eyes! :O

Today for Science Club we learned about the human eye. We have been studying the entire human body so, so far we have dissected a frog (for the digestion part) and a sheep brain (for the brain unit) and today, *shudders* we dissected, you guessed it, a cow eye. We learned and saw the pupil, cornea, retina and so much more. After we got everything out, we even turned the entire thing inside out so we could see the tapetum in the back of the eye. The tapetum is why when you shine a flashlight or a regular light at an animal, you see the animal's eyes "shine" while actually they are just reflecting the light. It was pretty cool but disgusting all at the same time. Not the best thing to do right after lunch....before we even ate we were disgusted because we had to watch a video of our science teacher having a lasik eye surgery. Talk about being grossed out. I give props to eye surgeons. I'm sorry, I would never be able to do that job.
Any of you guys dissect anything gross yet for science? I would love to hear about your experience lol!

Prom ;)

This year in one of my homeschool groups, they are having a prom! Now I am not going with a guy ( ;) ) but I am going with a couple friends AND, the best part, my bff is coming down from Indiana to go to the prom with us! I am so excited! And, another awesome thing is that means she will be down around my birthday this year which is amazing and super and awesome and smarticaltasic and tacolicious and well, now I have run out of words that show my enthusiasm. How do you do a screaming and excited smiley because those my emotions right now lol! By the way, SHOUT OUT TO TACOS! You are one of my best friends, i am so lucky to have you , girlie, and I miss you terribly :( I can't wait to see you though ;)
